Ok, so this has been posted almost 12 months after my original interest was generated – but I have come back to it now partly due to the recent 50th anniversary of James Bond and release of Skyfall. Created by Russian (but London based) Arina Orlova, her two postcards created for the 2011 RCA Secrets exhibition inspired further works such as James Bond: Kills and Kisses and Bond Girls: Love & Let Die. These, and others such as submissions from Sarah Medway and Tony Alcock, where my picks of the 2011 show – and I can’t wait until March 2013 for the 19th instalment of this fabulous happening. As for Skyfall? Well it is essentially a “back to basics” (literally) franchise reboot and is definitely worth a couple of hours of your time if you are into such things – and those images of that silver DB5 against the wintery Scottish landscapes: stunning!

It is so nice to see my very first ‘Kills&Kisses’ James Bond here! It is one-of-a-kind 🙂
I always love getting feedback from the artist! And to think that the photo of your card was sitting on my phone for over a year before I got around to using it… did it sell?
The RCA Secret one? Oh yes, I think there was a queue waiting to get hands on it 🙂
I could imagine – I would have bought it otherwise! 🙂 will you be doing anything for the 2013 show?
🙂 And I’ve done some commissions for people who didn’t manage to buy it at the RCA Secret.
Sure, I will be in the next exhibition! I think it is a bit later this time…
it is in March 2013 I think… I’ll make sure I look out for your submissions!
